Words of Peace Toronto welcomes international ambassador for peace PREM RAWAT at Toronto’s Sony Centre
“Peace needs to be in everyone’s life. It is not the world that needs peace; it is people. When people in the world are at peace within, the world will be at peace.”
Words of Peace Toronto presents Time for Peace featuring international ambassador for peace Prem Rawat. This one night only event will be presented at Toronto’s Sony Centre on Sunday, July 13 at 7PM. Translation will be provided in Tamil, Hindi and French. There will be a service for those with impaired hearing.
Prem Rawat is an international speaker who has traveled the world for over four decades, inspiring people to find peace within. He speaks from the heart, without script or rehearsal, bringing simplicity to important issues that human beings often find complex. His message is made available in more than 90 countries and 70 languages. Over 10 million people around the globe anticipate the chance to hear him speak live.
Whatever the language or the medium, the message remains the same: there is a very practical way of getting in touch with the peace that already exists within each person, and world peace begins with individual peace. Here’s a video: Introducing Prem Rawat’s message.
Known also by the honorary title Maharaji, Prem Rawat speaks to people internationally about the possibility of finding peace within — not as some utopian ideal or an absence of conflict, but as an immanent, personal experience. He has dedicated his life to giving people the keys that will unlock those answers. He receives no income from his work and gifts his time.
Prem Rawat directs his message at each individual, independent of their beliefs, circumstances, or background. His vision is far-reaching but simple. He wants to bring peace to humanity, individual by individual.
Prem has been granted the honorary title “Ambassador of Peace” by a number of governmental and academic institutions because of his ability to inspire audiences from all walks of life.
In the first half of this year he spoke at over 60 events and meetings in India, Nepal, Malaysia, Taiwan, The USA and Europe with audiences totaling over 1 million people.
Words of Peace is an independent charitable foundation set up by individuals inspired by Prem Rawat’s message of peace. The organization works to share this message with all who wish to hear it. Words of Peace has volunteers from over 80 countries across Europe, the Americas, Asia, Africa and the Pacific who are supported by a team of 40+ staff. Currently they have over 11,000 volunteers in their global database, and thousands more work independently. They are primarily funded by donations and grants.
